About the Homestead Cafe
Opened in 2019, The Homestead cafe is now run as a take away only business situated in a stunning Georgian stable block in one of South East London's most beautiful parks - Beckenham place park. The park has had significant investment in recent years which have resulted in a new fresh water swimming lake, play areas, walking routes and infrastructure. This has increased foot fall significantly already and we expect this to continue. The park is becoming home to more and more events and activities.
We're coffee geeks who love proper beer, stacked brioches and incredible pizza. We serve Square Mile coffee, local craft beer and make awesome stone baked pizzas and breakfast brioches to take into the park.
Throughout the year the Homestead courtyard hosts events organised by the Homestead and externally. The courtyard is the hub of the park and home to markets, cinema screenings, music events and more.
The Role
We are always on the look out for experienced, talented and organised baristas. Our barista roles are fast-paced, handling a high volume of drinks orders served with skill and care. We offer unlimited coffee training at Square Mile Coffee Roastery.
We serve Square Mile Coffee on a 3-group Victoria Arduino Black Eagle using Victoria Arduino Mythos 1 grinders. We rotate a monthly Guest Roaster for our batch brew filter coffee and retail coffee, and have recently had:
- Dark Arts
- Hard Lines
- Girls Who Grind
- Round Hill Roastery
- Carnival
- Clifton Coffee Roasters
- Bailies etc!
We have lots going on and are big coffee, food and beer heads! Over Summer 2021 we started hosting events in our courtyard such as Sunset Screenings, Courtyard Classics and Local Makers Markets. Hard work is balanced with a fun environment, friendly collegues, and perks such as:
